Fore! Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Fore! is a golf game for iPhone. We don't collect, store or sell your personal information, and the game has no accounts and no tracking. The free courses show ads, which come from Google (see "Ads" below).
What stays on your iPhone
- Your golfers and progress. Player names, how your golfers look, your stars, achievements, unlocked gear, driving range records and Daily Challenge results are saved on your iPhone.
- Motion. When you swing, Fore! reads your iPhone's motion sensors to work out the swing. This is processed on your iPhone as you play and is never stored or sent anywhere.
iCloud
If you're signed in to iCloud, Fore! keeps a copy of your progress, golfers and gear in your own iCloud storage, so another iPhone or a reinstall can pick up where you left off. That copy is in your iCloud account, managed by Apple; we can't see it. You can turn this off for Fore! in Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
Playing with friends nearby
Party games connect iPhones on the same Wi‑Fi or close by, directly between the phones (Apple's local networking). The phones share what the game needs: each player's name and how their golfer looks, and each shot. Nothing goes through our servers; we don't have any. iOS asks your permission before Fore! looks for nearby phones.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, Fore! uses it for online matches with friends, leaderboards and achievements. Your Game Center nickname, scores and the shots in a match are handled by Apple's Game Center and shown to the players you play against or who view the leaderboards. Apple runs Game Center under its own privacy policy; none of it comes to us.
Replays and sharing
Fore! can make a short video of a great shot. It's made on your iPhone and only leaves it if you share it or save it to your Photos (iOS asks your permission first). The Daily Challenge share text is also only shared when you choose to.
Ads
Now and then, after a round on a free course, Fore! shows a short ad on your iPhone (never on your TV). You can also choose to watch an ad to try a course you haven't bought. Remove Ads in the shop turns off the ads between rounds.
The ads come from Google AdMob. To show an ad and count that it was shown, Google's software in the app sends Google information such as your iPhone's model and iOS version, your IP address (from which Google works out a rough location, like your country or city), an identifier for the app on your iPhone, which ads you saw or tapped, and performance and crash information about the ads. This information goes to Google, not to us.
- No tracking. Fore! never asks for permission to track you, so Google doesn't get your iPhone's advertising identifier, and we ask Google for ads that aren't personalised to you.
- Family-friendly. We ask Google only for ads suitable for most audiences (rated PG or lower).
- Your choice in Europe and the UK. Where the law requires it, Fore! asks for your consent before any ads are requested, and Settings > Ad privacy choices lets you change your answer at any time.
How Google uses this information is described in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases
Courses are bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details.
Children
Fore! is suitable for all ages. We collect no personal information from anyone, including children; the ads are limited to ones rated PG or lower and are never personalised.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
